Did BJC buy St. Lukes? ›

Luke's Health System completed its merger with BJC Healthcare, creating a system that encompasses 28 hospitals across three states.

The original charter established St. Luke's, named for the evangelist/physician, as a hospital on March 29, 1872 and was finalized later that year.
